Jaguar cars are very pretty! As you know design is eye friendly and latest models are hot looking.

Most of problems comes down to a few categories:

1. Front suspension - control arm ball joints and bushings wear fast. You may hear clunking noise going over bumps or rough road - repair comes down to replacement of worn suspension components.

2. Coolant leaks / overheating. On most V8 engines plastic tubing on front of the engine cracks and leaks coolant - that leads to low coolant message on your dashboard and often overheating.

3. Oil leaks / rough running - on V8 models weak valve cover gaskets leaking oil and flooding spark plugs and ignition coils - repair requires new valve cover gaskets and spark plug seals.

4. Timing chain issues - V8 models are equipped with 3 timing chains - one main chain and two small chains in cylinder head. Small chain failure happens often and damages valve train. Some people are aware about this problem and to prevent that new chains / slides are required. We use Mercedes-Benz timing chains that after modification are lifetime solution for this problem. This is expensive repair but its much less that repairing damaged valve train / bent valves.

5. Fuel pump on XJ, XK or supercharged models - located in fuel tank behind rear backrest often burn. It will sound dangerous - fuel pump wiring harness inside fuel tank likes to burn! Imagine glowing red metal wires inside fuel tank... Repair requires new fuel pump or two pumps in some models and new level sending unit with updated wiring harness.

6. that's about all - the most common problems in Jaguar cars - not that bad huh? Of course you may experience almost anything going bad on your Benz but by servicing and maintaining your vehicle on time you decreasing risk of break-down a lot. Remember to protect your investment by performing services on time.
